Hedy was born on November 9th, 194 in Vienna, Austria, and sadly died on January 19, 2000. She was awarded the Pioneer Award in 1977, the Spirit of Achievement Award, the medal of Austrian Association Patent Holders and Inventors Award, and finally inducted into the National Inventors Hall of fame. She helped create the frequency hopping spread spectrum communication in WW2. This was later used to create WIFI.
